PSMT 605W Web Marketing: Building Awareness on the Internet (Web Course)
Course Description: Learn how to apply marketing principles and practices in an Internet environment. Using case studies and extensive online research, students review effective eMarketing strategies with an emphasis on company image, product/brand awareness, promotion and service information, online catalogs, email communications, and pre- and post-sales support. Instruction covers integrating online and traditional marketing methods, using search engines and indexes, Web site reporting and data analysis, establishing customer profiles, reaching international markets, using automated distribution channels, and building long-term customer relationships. Students will evaluate practical Web-based Marketing Communications strategies, including banner ads, search engine-based keyword campaigns, online public relations, working with content providers, and approaching the online media. Topics include calculating ROI (return on investment) and other evaluation measures including click through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC), and cost per sale (CPS).
