The Director will provide seminars for you covering such topics as the medical school admissions process, selecting medical schools, admission committee insights, and candidate interviewing techniques.
The Medical Director (a practicing physician) will assist you in connecting with local physicians and teaches a course on the American Health Care System. The Academic Director (a UVA organic chemistry professor) is available to help you become an effective science student. The Associate Director is a counselor who will help you with your glide year job search and applying to medical school. The Program Coordinator will help you with registration issues and many other logistics.
University of Virginia and other area doctors will be available to offer their expertise and insights to you through lectures, brown-bag lunches and one-on-one shadowing.
