The Glide Year

The Glide Year is the period following the program’s completion, prior to entrance into medical school.  It is the time when you will submit applications for admissions to medical school, as well as engage in medical related activities that will further enhance your medical preparation. 

The U.Va. Post-Bac Pre-Med Program faculty and staff are dedicated to supporting you through this year.  Whether through the articulation of new experiences or the enhancement of previous volunteer or paid medical-related opportunities, you will be assisted in developing an individual plan of action to enhance your credentials before entrance into medical school.
